Today's Grammar

把 moves the object before the verb to emphasize the result; 被 marks a passive sentence.

我把水喝了。
Wǒ bǎ shuǐ hē le.
I drank up the water.
苹果被我吃了。
Píngguǒ bèi wǒ chī le.
The apple was eaten by me.
他一边骑自行车,一边唱歌。
Tā yìbiān qí zìxíngchē, yìbiān chànggē.
He rides a bike while singing.
这件衣服很旧了,我想换一件新的。
Zhè jiàn yīfu hěn jiù le, wǒ xiǎng huàn yí jiàn xīn de.
This clothing is old now, I want to change to a new one.
我拿了一本词典。
Wǒ ná le yì běn cídiǎn.
